'Gran's Joint'
Gran's sparking up of a joint has far reaching consequences.
The topic of drugs was introduced to a new group of 14 to 16 year olds and drugs issues were discussed with the young people.
The process of claymation was demonstrated and ideas for a story developed from the group which contributed virtually all of the ideas, made the charcters, and developed the narrative.
Characters were made from clay and a cardboard set was built, a storyboard was sketched out and filming began. Members of the group took turns to direct, animate, camera and lighting and captue the footage to computer.
Once the scenes were finished they were edited together and a narrative recorded to fit over the story, sound effects were added and the movie was premiered at Fairbridge Glasgow.
