Wrekin Stop War is a libertarian anti-war group which "encourages debate and raises awareness about issues of peace and planet" Last Saturday, 10 June they hel a meeting in Wellington entitled Alternatives. 2 members of the NAN attended. The speakers included Bruce Kent from CND and the Movement fort the Abolition of War, Tamsin from Food not Bombs and No Borders. An interesting discussion and debate followed. The anarchist ideas informing the theory and Practice of Food not Bombs were of particular relevance. The FNB speaker referred to the writer Howard Zinn and his exposition of anarchist ideas such as mutual aid, social cooperation and anti-authoritarianism.
