Have people seen this article in the Express, pointing to the rising debt amongst families in Burnley, and the increasing number of repossessions.
There is one particular debt company in Burnley which is growing fat of the back of desperate residents in our area - does anyone know who they are - they are on Bull Street, Burnley.
See also the 58 jobs axed at a Padiham Boiler company on the same link above.
Much debt is the result of job losses in this area, and new jobs that are available are low paid such as supermarkets - and many are casual work bringing further insecurity.
What with potential closures of hospital wings and this, I predict increasing foul opportunism by the fascists as they exploit people's fears in this area, and lie through their fascist teeth that they have the answers, when underneath their oppotunist promises to residents is a foul fascist/racist agenda. They care nothing for residents and their agenda is to spread hate and divide us!
I discovered the other day that two BNP councillors voted against a telecommunications mast in Burnley. This is classic BNP fascist tactics of jumping on residents concerns to carry favour for their foul politics.
We should be wary of this - and in the New Year discuss in Burnley Anarchist meetings how we can fight this.
A church in Hapton was vanalised last week and covered with fascist and racist BNP graffitti - Len Starr/BNP councillor for Hapton disassociated himself from this - but that is the violent fascist behaviour that lies beneath the false rubbish the BNP feed us about caring for our community. They jump on campaigns last minute!
We need to watch this, and be aware that a key part of the problem is this government's policies which are crippling us, and by extension giving a platform to the fascists.
