"Rome (meaning Nelson) wasn't built in a day" David Foster Liberal (that's his catch phrase by the way, anyone else picked that up ;D - the Liberals are a bit like the Romans so it fits) Also, David Foster has developed this nasty habit of pointing at things in his photos - weird!
"As usual the Labour candidate (Mr Waite) does not tell you where he lives" David Foster/Liberal.
Anyone know where Colin Waite lives by the way. There's a picture of him standing by a stained mattress in a Nelson street on one of his leaflets - is that where he lives? Sources have advised that it is his own mattress thrown down for photo shoot, and accompanying tirade on the state of rubbish build up in Nelson bla de bla.
"If elected, Helen will be easy to contact ..." (Helen Jane Mulligan/BNP) Strange goings on with BNP candidate in Clover Hill ward - she's in disguise offering no address or contact number on her leaflet, plus I think she must have been leafletting our ward in the middle of the night as I was out late one night last week and no post when I got in - but early morning 7am there was a nasty scruffy little splurge of racist drival through my door. Must have been a full moon. Handy though, as again I had run out of toilet paper.
"Support Colin's Campaign to Protect A&E at Burnley General Hospital..........Colin has joined forces with PendleLabour MP, Gordon Prentice in fighting these life threatening proposals"...."There is no way I or any Labour Councillors will support anything which means a reduction in services for local people".
Whoops, poor Colin fails to reflect on the fact that PCTs and the resultant structure of the NHS was brought about by New Labour policy and his own party - and now we have the ironic joke of local Labour MPs and Councillors leading campaigns against the decisions made by privately oriented/businesses - Primary Care Trusts which their policy created . And for gawd's sake Colin pick up that mattress.
Colin came door to dooring last week around Clover Hill last week - I think he's a little worried - he's been swearing a lot lately. Anywise, I was upstairs so Cotty answered the door.
Colin asked him - 'Will you be supporting Labour at the coming local elections'.
Cotty said, 'No, I support Man City'.
Any other news from the circus anyone? ;D
