Hey up,
Yeah I'm with Michele - tell us more Doug on what you think the BNP stand for? I've heard this reason - disillusionment with the Labour Party - a number of times as a reason for getting behind the BNP, but I'd like to hear why in your own words.
It's interesting that you're announcing you're a BNP member like it's a badge of pride or someit? As if you've come to your senses over the Labour party and upsticks to the BNP.
But how about this idea Doug - that the fascist & racist policies at the core of the BNP serve the Labour Party and other 'parties' well. They keep working class communities like ours in Nelson and Burnley at each other's throats - they divide us so we begin to blame each other instead of government policy which results in, round here, the lowest pay in the country, the highest rates of early deaths, and many people suffering from poor mental health as a result of the many strains, drug abuse and all the rest.
Also, can you tell me what you think the reasons are for the rising number of racial attacks in the Nelson and Colne area over the last few weeks? (reported in this Friday's just gone Nelson Leader?).
I'm genuinely interested in your reply, but bear in mind if you come on here with a frank statement that you're a member of the BNP, you can expect some equally frank responses.
tara Mitch

Hi Yediyd, thanks for leaving your introduction.
I'm into all things Jewish too, I think my interest was started when I did O Level Scripture, and we had to learn all about Jesus and his surroundings, Jewish customs etc. I've since visited the Jewish Museum in Manchester, and heard stories there from Jewish immigrants to the UK following WWII. Very moving. On my way out a woman asked if I had traced any of my ancestors..considering I'm not Jewish, I found that quite amusing.
I love languages too, and used to be quite good at them at school, I've learned a little Urdu, which is useful for members of community groups where I live, as we have a large Asian community. However, I don't study frequently so I lose my skill at recalling phrases after a short time. I've downloaded some Hebrew software, and may pursue learning a little of that language, but no promises.
I look forward to seeing more of your posts, and will try to make those alterations to the site to make it more user-friendly, as I promised...
