Hey Up, Mitch here.
36 years old, and starting to lie about me age! Activist in Burnley and Nelson, and currently involved in East Lancs Lets Scheme (which I'll get to later), and Justice for Christopher Alder Campaign.
Work for a small website company during the day, and do two lovely glamorous cleaning jobs on weekday evenings.
I smoke too much, and am commonly known as catmadmitch, being the carer of four rescued cats called - gonzo, old bird and Dolly and Patsy (the queens of country music!).
I love cinema and films, real ale, cigarettes, walking, second hand bookshops, labour history, and socialist/anarchist women. I love to read and have been inspired by contemporary socialist feminist authors such as Sheila Rowbotham and Jill Liddington. I read a lot of old stuff too including Edward Carpenter, and Alexandra Kollontai.
I hate any kind of prejudice and discrimination, male chauvinism and sexist activists on the left who I generally ignore and work around, and people who lord knowledge and theory over others.
I think this site is a brilliant idea Michele, and I'll be a frequent visitor and poster.

Identified as an anarcho-syndicalist from the eighties, during the miner's strike, it is the only way anarchism makes sense to me. Member of the Solidarity Federation and before that the Direct Action Movement, both affiliated to the International Workers' Association.
Was in a punk band back in 1977 now a member of The Sanity Clause. (available for weddings, birthdays, benefits, bringing down the state and smashing capitalism)
Influences. Strummer (Joe), Reed (Lou), Earle (Steve), Rocker (Rudolf), Goldman (Emma), Marx (Groucho), Howard (Frankie), Carry On films.
Work in a Credit Union.
