Hey up chums,
In me travels around this 'ere job (cattle) MARKET in Burnley and Nelson what I am noticing is that state run job centres are shrinking rapidly.
For a start, it's all computerised now - you do your own looking for jobs either on Machines in the job centres, or on the web at home.
But there is a development - when you do this now on the web you don't get a list of jobs coming out of state run job centres, you get a list of links to Private job websites and of course a list of local temping agencies. These are the new job centres - private job websites and private temping agencies, oh joy!
Chums, I ain't saying that it was moonlight and roses in these 'ere old state run job centres. What I'm pointing out is this 'ere example of a shrinking of state run services - pushed over now completely into Private hands.
Gadzooks, the State has no time to run a decent local job advertising/training/job finding assistance service, it's too busy war mongering and administering the finer bureaucratic points of pushing everything into private hands.
Welcome to the new local job finding private powerhouse below, it grows bigger by the day.

Incidently, I notice here at Workpoint Temping Agency, Burnley a growing number of labouring jobs (minimum wage of course). Lots of building work going on in Burnley at the moment - new Homebases and wot not to build, more low paid jobs building yuppie cafes along the canal.
Local low paid s h i t jobs for new developments and services that local people won't use, because they won't be able to afford it.
Gee, thanks Burnley Borough Council and a New Labour government that has quickened the pace of increasing numbers of casual workers and goods and services into private hands, not to mention their warm welcome to unscrupulous multi-national employers.
