Well Mitch...There's a Book Club Meeting going on in Manchester from 6pm till 8pm that evening, at the Peveril...full name and details on Urban75..which I was thinking of going along to...it's only the first meeting, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind if a few more of us attended and left early for this meeting? What do you think? I'd love to attend both...think the book club might be a fun idea...once a month?

Derek Clarke - Secretary of the Greater Manchester TUC: organiser of the above event - rang round members of the committee on Tuesday night saying there is a possibility of a negotiated settlement at Gate Gourmet in the near future. Consequently the above meeting may be called off.

EEEK...please let us know as soon as you find out if it is cancelled or not, as a car load of us from Burnley want to attend...!!
Mitch, would you still be interested in taking a look at the Manchester Book Club meeting the same nite, if this Gate Gourmet meeting is cancelled? Bring along a few books you'd like to recommend us all to read...possibly with a 'northern' angle...either about 't North, or by a Northern author or summat....see U75 for full details...should be a fun night in the pub anyways, if you're not too tired...
