Hi everyone. You folk here might be interested in my weird electronica outfit "The Berlin Wall Of Sound", one half of which is currently residing in Nelson, Lancashire. You can get all the soundfiles and so on at www.bwos.co.ukHopefully we'll be able to get some gigs somewhere as well, although it must be said there isn't really an enormous market for this kind of thing in East Lancashire. Aw well.

Hiya Curios of Signs...thanks for the link to your website and the music samples... Unfortunately it's taking my media player ages to buffer up so that I can actually listen and comment on it... The titles seem very curious...are they political songs/tunes at all or just different? Can you tell us more about the history of your band, and what you're all about? Have you ever played in the clubs in Burnley, and do you know of the Mudd Club and one of it's founder DJs Fran Bruce... Let us know more...

Quick update!!!
I just heard a tiny sample of the Campdeath song, and it was just my cup o' tea!! lol, pity my media player found an error and couldnt play more of it...
Anyway, are the lyrics available anywhere...I love to read what I'm hearing if I'm unfamiliar with it...helps me to appreciate it more...
Very interesting instrument sound btw...Good Luck!!

Hi. Glad you like the music! I think our lyrics are quite disposable.. and a lot of our songs are instrumental (using old technology, things like that.) Also, because of the problems of geography, live performance would be reduced at the moment to just me, messing about on a laptop.
I've just put together a live mix tape, which I will be distributing around Burnley's clubs / pubs etc. So, hopefully, dependant on the common good taste of Burnley's club moguls (arf arf), you might be hearing more of this stuff live, which promises to be, erm, interesting.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. And if anybody wants to give me a gig, give us a bell. We work for peanuts (and beer).

Hey, this is good. I especially like Cosmic Brother. There's a big outdoor do coming in the summer in the Accrington area with music in evening. Could be a gig there.
Pm ya contact details to Michele Cryer (hope ok with you Michele), and let us know any gig dates you get - we'll come.

Hey! Mitch..thanks for adding your feedback too...I have no problem with being a contact for us and Berlin Wall of Sound...please do contact me with gig dates, and if you are interested in the Accrington field do!! Should be fun...will let u know full details when they're available. Actually, I live virtually round the corner from one of your band...the one on Napier Street..I live at the top of Beaufort street...close to Waidshouse rd... Small world innit...

Wow that's weird. Yeah I know Beaufort Street. I think there used to be a fish and chip shop on there I used to frequent. Heh.
But I would be very interested in the Accrington do during the summer. Of course, I can make virtually any time available etc. Whatever is convenient for you chaps.
Cheers guys.

I might have put a link to Flamingoes in the Gay Forum but not sure, but any Blackpool site will have links to it for you to peek at.

Well, I'll try and knock something up graphically if I've got time. Only problem is, my laptop isn't connected to the internet, but this rubbish one I'm using is, and it doesn't have any software on it and blah blah blah... its basically a logistical nightmare of unspeakable proportions.
Yeah, its a shame I haven't found any venues in close proximity for weirder sounding music. I'm a huge fan of Aphex Twin / Squarepusher, and all kinds of other weirdo stuff so, erm, generally have to travel across half the country to find anywhere decent to go to.
I'm hoping to find somewhere tolerant (or disorganised) enough to let me do a dance mix of 1950s exotica and drill n bass for gameboys. And pay me loads of money for it. Hmm. Wish me luck.
I think that may be the chippy in question, although I might be thinking of Berkeley Street, and not Beaufort Street after all. That's the great thing about around here - loads of cheapo chippies and dodgy kebab emporiums! Shame they don't play experimental music.. then the world would be perfect, I think.
Wow, I haven't visited Blackpool since I was about 8. It rained.

LOL re Chippies and Kebab houses!!! and they wonder why we're all dying up here...teehee...
Nelson is no good at all for music...Burnley should have some clubs that do 'decent' music I suppose, but I haven't been clubbing there for years...
About the software...I have a copy of CorelDraw if you think you could handle it...I'm not very good with it unfortunately...so I could give u a copy of the CD if you wanted to have a try? Let me know...

Hiya Mitch, Have added some Hed Kandi and Peter Tong stuff to me mule...so hopefully I can share them with you soon...didn't pick massive files as wanted to make them audio files to begin with, in case your DVD doesn't play MP3's...but will make some bigger files if you want later...Have to get my software back so I can split MP3's easily

Nah, its ok. Honestly speaking I'm rubbish at doing graphics. I think I've actually got a copy of Corel Draw somewhere but, I too am rubbish with it. Still haven't managed drawing curved lines on the bugger. Which is a hindrance with drawing witches, I suppose. Yeah, I mean, I only go out very occasionally. You can probably tell with the music that I spend the great majority of my time huddled over the warmth of a laptop with headphones on. Hmm. However, I do have a distinct preference toward "ye olde" gimmer pubs with a quaint selection of real ales. Colne is always nice for that kind of thing.

Don't worry about the grafix...I'm gonna try and pull my mate Graeme in on this one, as he's the one trying to encourage my creativity...
See if he can come up with something more 'original' than the old Pendle Witch!!
Well, your description of yourself, hooked to the pc all day and preferring 'gimmer' real ale pubs might match quite a few of us on this site...and yes, Colne is good...have you been to the Lord Rodney pub?
