Watch out, watch out, the bungling bafoons of the 'Better Burnley Brigade are about'. There's nought better than a bit of creative marketing, wot wot. Here at the Voice we want to make every effort to support the old dears at Burnley Borough Council, who have dug deep in their mindnumbingly boring New Labour puppet hell hole and come up with this:
Better Burnley Photo Competition (oh, ahh wot a good idea)
The Better Burnley Campaign is looking to recruit schools and young people to its latest campaign to raise the profile of Burnley.
The Better Burnley Photo competition was launched in May, and celebrates what is good about Burnley and what makes it a great place to live, work and visit.
The competition winners will be published in the Burnley Express, Initiative Burnley and Burnley Action Partnership and will feature in exhibitions within Burnley. The winning entry will receive an iPOD Mini.
The competition ends on the 17 June 05."
THIS IS A SERIOUS COMPETITION! Hopefully I'll be young enough to enter. Here's my winner folks. Kitty Usheer, on her rare visits to Burnley has been busy with that hoover of her, sucking up the street of Burnley and I want to pay homage to her hard work in my photo entry. Bless her cotton, she had the decency to hoover up a s h i t load of rubbish dumped outside Burnley Town Hall the other week by residents who were sick and tired of not having their rubbish collected, despite paying extortionate council tax bils. Unfortunately she didn't have time to hoover up rubbish left outside Open Hands - buck up Kitty for god's sake.
Anyone else got any photo entries - this one's a bit poor I must admit. ;D
