Hmmmm...an interesting article, Steve. I'm glad someone else has brought this story to the attention of the forum...it's been confusing me, I must admit.
I'm not a fan of Mark Thatcher, or his mother...lol...and am all for the 'outing' of his dirty deeds...however, who would like to discuss the rights and wrongs of the attempted coup?
I notice that the coup has, in part, been organised 'allegedly' by multi-national companies who are trying to get share of the oil wealth, and that does not please me...however, if the report is correct in stating that the profits from the Oil are not reaching the people of the country and are only being enjoyed by the President, then that seems unfair too...also, allegations of continuing cruelty???
Please tell me what you think would be the best way of dealing with this situation...leave the country to sort out its own problems? Turning a blind eye to any suffering of the people because of the existing President? Or some other method of making this country more beneficial to its residents...
Michele
