This is a bit late notice all, but a close friend of mine is a keen lover of bats, beautiful and fascinating animals, and she's extremely knowledgeable on them.
She does BAT talks and walks in the North West, and is just about to do one in Oswaldtwistle (land of the Ducketts).
Here are the details if anyone fancies going along - a bit late notice, but here it is anyway. IT'S FREE, AND I'D HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
The bat talk & walk we're doing is tomorrow night in Oswaldtwistle at Fox Hill Bank LNR. I'm sorry I didn't let you know til now. It'd be great if you and/or anyone else who wants to go. The indoor talk starts at 08.45 pm with the bat walk at 9.30pm.
Foxhill bank LNR, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington, Lancs. Meet at the bottom of Mill Hill which leads down from the main road through Oswaldtwistle, to the right of the Tinker & Budget pub, past the old fire station, over the bridge & left to a small parking area. Grid ref. SD 739 278 (OS Landranger 103). Contact: John Lamb 01772 317240 at Lancashire Wildlife Trust
The bat talk is scheduled to take place from 8-45pm to 9-15 or 9-30pm on Wednesday 20th July at Lock Street Institutewhich is on the corner of Sun Street and Lock Street behind the Town Hall, which is on the main road (Market Street/Union Road, B6231) through Oswaldtwistle. Sun Street runs between Lord Street and Haworth Street.
Spook - ALL ARE WELCOME.
