Points discussed :
1. thanks to Michele for setting up web forum space.
2. Minutes/agenda arrangements-rotating-putting them straight up onto the web forum for public viewing, discuss possibility of creating an 'anarchist meeting agendas/minutes forum. importance of putting these in a public space.
3. Web forum-way forward-for the moment this could be our main space for publicising activity.
4.Upcoming events-Music-25/09/04, reach II activity, Lets- socials-blackpool/Marsden/weekends/walks, barn dance and Sal's dancing 'do'.
5. Justice for Christopher Alder Campaign-Stand-burnley town centre-21/08/04 11am. Currently trying to get glass house near the bandstand. Awaiting reply. If not will challenge-and do stand anyway just outside the glasshouse. t-shirts are in post today/everyone needs to be wearing them. Will have plenty for Nils' music 'do'.
6.Camera equipment-currently exploring hire of video projector from gregory audio visual, blackburn. Will be going in to look at their equipment this thursday morning-they do hire and sell.
Any other business:
1. May Day celebrations 2005. Ideas put forward re hiring of Concert Artists over the weekend for anti fascist stalls/socials...possibility of hiring Chubawumba to play over the weekend. Mechanics Institute also to be considered.
Next meeting....Monday 23rd August, same venue.

Any other business: 1. raised concerns over alliance with solfed, was recently suggested using the name Preston Solfed instead of Lancs Solfed. Possibility of becoming independent of that organisation so that local funds can be used for local issues without having their prior consent. Some members may remain with Solfed so that we may lend each other support on national issues. Local funds to come initially from subs at meetings. This is a curious item. Burnely Anarchists are totaly independent of Lancashire Solfed already. Burnley Anarchists have never had to ask for "prior consent" in what they do or what they spend their funds on. In fact Lancashire SolFed has given money for posters to be printed in Burnley with absolutely no conditions attached.

You are welcome to become a member of the site wherever you live..if that was what you were referring to...if not, and you were referring to the burnley anarchists, then if you become a member of this site you can also become a moderator of the anarchists forum as I believe that we are all as entitled as one another to work on the posts within that section, and make any alterations where necessary...
The name of the site, Burnley.org was used because we needed an existing domain name in order to obtain this free sub-domain...
