Yo all, Quick one - might I suggest that as we are absent a few people at the moment - Fred's doing a spot of surfing down in Cornwall - twitter!, and neither Headless (who has another meeting), nor I (filling in on two extra cleaning jobs in the evening until 16th July) can attend this week, Plus pending big East Lancs Lets event end of this month, so all busy. What I'd suggest, if all agreeable, is to reconvene wot wot on THURSDAY, 21ST JULY as per usual Burnley League at 7.30pm. Bryan - would you be able to join us then. This would be useful as there are two particular campaigns in the area that it would be useful to fill you in on, namely: Piccadilly Moving Group - update on situation, I have more info from Sal Plus, Headless and others are busy with the Towneley Park campaign which you might want to give a mention to in Northern Voices?? Also, it'll be just before the NAN conference, so we can have a brief chat about that and final organisation on us getting down there. Does this suit everyone?? Tara Mitch x

Mitch, I'll try to make it on the 21/7/05.
The final Act3 of the Goat case takes place tomorrow. this has been a tragi-comedy & with tragi-comedies the play is usually a series of tragic incidents up to the last bit, which usually has an happy-ending. Tomorrow we may break this rule.
I'll try to ring Sal tonight as we're trying to pull NV5 together now.

Oh, happy ending. Final Act went well!!!
The defence witnesses prove more credible than the opposition & last night after drinks all round in a real ale pub in Rochdale; 'Edna' was released from her corral & taken out for awalk in the sunshine.
By the way we met an old anarchist from Freedom Press in Hebden Bridge yesterday: John Retty. He left Hungary in 1956 after the Hungarian Revolution & is up for the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. His daughter is exhibiting on the Sculture Trail.

Well done Bryan and Edna...hope Edna has plenty of 'marching time' still ahead of her!!
Perhaps we should have a meeting in Hebden Bridge sometime everybody? I know one or two people who would appreciate a visit to the place...and perhaps a barge trip along its canal...shall we have a vote?

My apologies to all, in advance. Due to a BIG clash I will not be able to attend either the B.A. meeting on 21st July nor the NaN conference on the 23rd July...
I am due to attend a Soteria (Mental health) Conference on Friday 22nd July in Birmingham, and due to travelling etc. it has been suggested that we stay overnight Thursday and Friday before returning on Saturday...I did originally intend to attend all the meetings...Sorry folks...hope the others from Burnley will still drive down together...

Yowza, that mental health conference sounds fascinating. Hope you'll post all the details and how it went after the event. I should start a thread on it in the mental health section. No problemo on not coming this Thurs, I've emailed Fred to hopefully arrange final detail for travelling down to NAN conference this Saturday. Rachel has sent me the directions and wot not so we're all ready, and can tell you all about it after the event. This Saturday meet with Lucy, Spike, Knightrose and Captain Mission was great. I took Cotty with me, and he probs frightened the life out of the lot of um - tittery titter!! ;D Speak soon if you're about tonit - that'd be real cool/ tararara Mitch xx PS. CALLING SURFING FRED, SURFING CORNWALL FRED, YOU STILL WITH US. Lucy would like to meet you Fred!! ;D Also, she looks forward to meeting you too Pushka!!

Thanks Mitch...I feel better now about letting you all down...I seem to have had such a busy month and wanted to pack all events into me suitcase and travel, but you know what it's like!
Anyway, thanks for holding the forte with the B.A. meeting, Nan Conference and the Manchester get together at the weekend, must say I was quite sorry I missed that one, and I'm looking forward to meeting Lucy and the others soon too...perhaps you can put the invite to the Manchester folk for a trip on the barge at Hebden Bridge on this week's agenda? and ask Lucy et al what they think about it? Sounds brilliant to me.
