FREE stuff for young people to join in with:
Inter MUGA (multi use games area) Youth Football Tournament @ various venues across Pendle
Organised by young people, Parks and the Neighbourhood Management Teams
During August, young people from across Pendle will have the opportunity to take part in a inter football tournament. Teams will compete at one of the listed MUGAs to qualify. Winning teams from each MUGA will go head to head in the final at Waterside on 30th August, transport is provided. Winners will be presented with trophies and prizes. Teams can be entered into two age groups as follows: 8 - 13 years and 14 - 18 years (with a maximum of two 18 year olds in a team). Everyone taking part will recieve a goody bag donated by businesses and various services. Teams must register. Applications can be picked up from 120 Railway Street, Colne Open Door (Great George Street), Brierfield Cyber Cafe and the local libraries.
There is no closing date for entries but please bear in mind places will be limited.
Summer Camp @ Walton High (Pendle Vale)
Organised by the Whitefield Youth Association & Walton High
Commencing from 10th July till 3rd August. Theres something for everyone at the summer camp - open to anyone from the age of 2 - 16 years from Monday to Thursday, 1pm till 4pm. Join in with the fun and games or learn something new from the range of workshops on offer: film making, DJing, circus skills, arts and crafts, sports activites and much more. Parents can join in too with healthy eating demonstrations, arts and crafts.
Places are limited and parental consent must be obtained for any young person taking part.

Wuds 4 Fun (Bowling with a twist) @ Thomas Street Bowling Club
Organised by Thomas Street Bowling Club and Nelson Neighbourhood Management Team
Starting from 17th July, every Mondays and Thursday from 1pm till 3pm. For young people aged 8+. Abit like crazy golf, tackle the various challenges like shoot the hoop, big break, bowls eye and bowl around. Bring your friends and learn to bowl - the fun way.
Places are limited and parental consent must be obtained by completing an enrolment form.

Pendle Challenge @ Colne Youth & Community Centre, Playing Field
Organised by Youth & Community Service
A fun day for young people aged 13 to 19 years on wednesday 2nd August @ 2:30pm - enter your team (maximum 4 in a team) to take part in PENDLE CHALLENGE. Join in with team games such as memory tests, shape shifter, tangrams, orienteering quizes and many more. Also take the opportunity to help the youth service spend some money on youth provision, so register a team to get something sorted for young people in your area.
Closing date for entries is Monday 17th July 2006.

Wheelie Summer 2006
Organised by Wheels Within Wheels
A 6 day programme of extreme motorised sport for everyone aged 11 to 17 years. Master the buggy on the muddy fields of Blacko, or build your own buggy from scratch, go mountain biking or have a go at riding on a varity of mo-peds. Its fun and FREE! 10 sessions will be taking place from Monday to Saturday. AM sessions will commence from 9:30am till 12pm and afternoon sessions from 1pm till 4pm. Theres a limit on places with 7 people per session. Activities start from Monday 10th July.
Places are limited and parental consent must be obtained for any young person taking part.

Summer Extravaganza
Organised by Building Bridges in Pendle
A fun packed day for the whole family on Saturday 15th July, @ St Johns Methodist Church, Albert Road, Colne @ 1:15pm - 5pm. Theres lots to do!!!!! have your hands painted (henna), make stuff in the arts and crafts corner, do some shopping with virgin vie cosmestics and various jewellery and clothing stalls, have a go on the bouncy castle and listen to musical stories from the far east. Complete a questionnaire and get yourself entered into a raffle to win meal tickets and prizes.
Entry is free and open to all.
Summer Sports
Organised by Pendle Leisure Trust
commencing 17th July till 25th August every Monday to Friday. Join in with various sports such as Football, Tennis, Cricket, Hockey, Rounders. Activities and venues vary for each day. please see attached programme.
Parental consent must be obtained.
