Manchester Committee to Defend Asylum Seekers + Side By Side are holding a picnic and barbecue at the above venue...Saturday 7th August, from 1pm-4pm.
There will also be artistic activities and nature walks for children in this countryside park. In order to aid those coming to the event a free mini bus will be travelling from Prestwich tram station between 12.30 and 1pm. Please call Claire on 07989 816 120 for details. People directly affected by immigration and asylum laws will be eligible for a refund of their travel costs to the event.
How to get there
Meet Colin and Doreen in Manchester City Centre at Friends Meeting House, Mount Street. We leave at 12.00 midday and go to the Park together by tram and minibus.
Meet at Prestwich Tram station 12.30 to 1pm. We travel by free mini bus to the park. Call Claire 07989 816 120 on the day for details.
