Hey up, Meeting as usual, slightly reduced numbers due to a couple of our chums flittin off to do some cabaret dates. Two decrepids, Mitch & Fred will be there, plus also thismachinebleeds popping in ;D Headless, sadly is not invited as he was murdered last night on a visit to Fred's, licked to death by Fred's dogs. He now lies buried under the flags in Fred's back yard - to be deposited in a Burnley brown wheely bin when they finally collect them. BURNLEY LEAGUE (down end of Plumbe St and across the green) 7.30pm-8pm Thurs, 4th August ALL WELCOME IF YOU FANCY TURNING UP. Bestest Mitch

Present: Mitch Fred Thismachinebleeds
Apologies (currently we're not sure where! ;D) Pushka
A great meeting, and discussions (despite again in a pub in Burnley - foul fascist idiots in the corner spouting horrendous c r a p regurgitated from the latest copy of The Sun - jeez I'm tired of hearing this poison).
Discussions revolved around plans for an anti-ID public meeting. Fred and thismachinebleeds to work on venue, speakers. Mitch to draw up leaflet for leafletting widely, plus Mitch to do mailout once meeting date/venue arranged. I'll bring mockups of leaflet and mailout address list to meeting next week.
Discussion also on NAN conference just gone, particularly around Dave Chappell's excellent speech, and why we disagreed with some of his thoughts, and agreed with others.
We also talked about the recent horrendous treatment of workers at Time Computers, and sending in a letter to the Burnley Express, drawing on what we have written so far about it, but also highlighting some of the other recent horrendous treatment of casual and atypical workers in the area. This should be a starting point for building up our efforts to support casual workers in Burnley & Pendle.
We also had a fascinating discussion about anarchist activity in the past in Burnley (which I continue to learn a lot from). Fred talked particularly about the Anarchist Youth group which was very popular and successful in the 1980s in Burnley.
Lots of other points of discussion, including a few more great stories from Fred and the usual b i t c h about Headless (who we like, but of course totally disagree with! twitter).
Until next week my friends.
Mitch x
