Hey, Escort..thanks for posting!!! Love the green writing...lol. Well, I tend to believe in ghosts and stuff..attended the Spiritualist churches now and again...never had any messages yet tho, unfortunately... Could get really scientific about the subject, but I'm not clever enough so will leave that to somebody else... Bring your ghost stories here folks... Michele

I suppose there are many theories regarding what happens to us when we 'pass over'...according to your own religious views in most cases...eg. Hindus believe in re-incarnation, christians believe in the 'heaven and hell' theory...any more offers?
Sometimes I think that 'hell' is what we are living thru now, so when we die it can only be better...
My grandfather was a spiritualist, said he had a spirit guide...back in the 1920's when he was first married to my grandmother, a devout Roman Catholic, and very sheltered, he owned a 3 legged table...my grandmother was only about 20 years old and decided to have her own little 'seance' with her friends, using the table a medium....she claimed that after calling upon the spirits the table rose off the ground, dancing round the room and pinned one of her friends against it...very scary...
My grandmother was so afraid that she confessed all to her local priest and was almost excommunicated..and was banished from the church!!! she was so sorry...I don't think my grandfather would have been very happy with her either..lol.

It turns out he was wearing a blue shourd when he was buried. Do you have any stories like this let us know tell us [/glow]

Gosh Escort,
What an unusual thing to occur to you, must have been frightening at such a young age...but you must have felt better knowing it was your grandfather...coming back to keep an eye on you by the sound of it...
My brother was convinced that there were spirits in the house we lived in as kids...felt their presence etc.
It's well known that animals have a 6th sense, and you can sometimes see them responding to 'invisible' presences...very spooky!!!
Would love to spend a night in a haunted house btw.

[glow=green,2,300]Hey all A friend of mine who i used to rent a room off lives in a farely modern house in stockport everthing was fine untill about a month into living there we noticed small cold spots in diffrent parts of the house. Now i know what you would say its a draft but i can tell you your wrong now with the heating on the house would be warm untill you walked past a cold spot. Now these cold spots didnt stay in just the one place they did move around but one place in particulay is his daughters bedroom she is only four but the change in her since he moved to this house is very spookey. I have known her since she was born and she was one of the most gentlest caring little girls. Now she is nasty we asked her if there is any one else in the room in which she replied yes. It turns out that there was a elderly couple who died very nastly there and to this day they are still there and so are my friends. [/glow]

Eeek, poor little girl..hope she gets better soon...don't know if I could remain living in a house that had such a bad effect on my relatives, unless a medium was brought in to try to contact the spirit and settle them...
I remember when we used to live in a house built around the turn of the century and when my daughter was about 3 or 4 years old she said she couldn't sleep because of 'the boys talking' to her!!! wow...we were very suspicious of ghosts around that time...

Hey, that Simon Entwistle gets about - doesn't he do a 'dracula' tour in Whitby as well??? And I'm sure he does a 'Victorian Gentleman's tour' at the Manchester Museum. Blimey, he must be rakin it in!! I'd be up for that Blackburn Town Centre ghost tour - wondering if they do a tour of Blackburn Town Hall so we can see probably quite a few of the 'living dead'. I'm not sure I believe in ghosts - spook - but I've a mate who has taken me on a few 'bat' tours recently, one in a graveyard in Salford. Bats aren't particularly spooky - beautiful creatures to watch. There's loads over my local reservoir as well. They're a protected species now. I have managed to spook meself a few times - but I put that down to either being extremely tierd or urr pissed!! Spooked meself last night in one of these old banks I clean (they have cellars - spook!)- turned off lights, thought I heard a noise - grabbed me bag - bobbed the alarm on and legged it out of there double quick!!! That'll be the hormones maybe?? I spose I'm a bit sceptical - but I wouldn't mind if the dead were available for chats. I'd love a good banter with my dead grandmother who was a bit of a witch - but I was rather close to her. Wonder if Simon Entwistle can get a message to her?

I agree, that Simon Entwistle must be really raking it in...big business the dead u know? Maybe we should look around at other 'ghost tours/weekends' and try to arrange a few for different parts of the country..would be fun. I love bats btw, have quite a few knocking around outside my house at night too... Mass emailing to begin shortly...start saving your pennies for our GhostBuster Trips..lol. Michele
