Recently I was stopped by a researcher in Burnley Centre and asked to give a list of my Ten Best Films and Ten Best Actors!
It isn't as easy as I thought. A lot of things have changed over the years including my taste in actors and films.
Films.
4 Feathers (1939.)
The Drum. (Sabu and Roger Livesey)
The Foreman went to France . (Best war film I saw.)
The Prisoner of Zenda . (Ronald Colman).
If I were King. (Ronald Colman.)
Thelma and Louise.
What's New Pussycat. (Peter O'Toole.)
Drums Along the Mohawk. (Henry Fonda and Claudette Colbert.)
A Tale of Two Cities. (Ronald Colman.)
Hotel Zeno. Richard Weston. ) I think!
Looking back I was amazed. I've always been a cowboy fan and have enjoyed the few politcal films that have come my way, but these are the ones that I enjoyed best. Or at least those that I remember.
How's about other people?

Have you ever seen a western called 'Forty Guns' with Barbara Stanwick, director Sam Fuller. 40 blokes with guns troop behind her through the whole movie.
How come Thelma & Louise have to die at the end of that movie?
4 Feathers - is this a western? Never seen it, can I borrow it, and Hotel Zeno for that matter.
Cotty and me are big western fans - you'll have to come and have a look at what we've got. Rio Bravo (Hawks) is one of my favourites, and Red River, also Hawks (there's a good yahoo cattle rustling scene in the latter - beautifully shot too in black and white).
