Dear all,
I thought you would like to know that my friend and yours, Jim Petty, died last night about midnight on Friday 10th July, aged 82 in Blackburn hospital. He has been unwell for some time but did not let that prevent him getting out and about and he never complained about his ailments. He came over to Leeds two weeks ago on the train to spend the day with me. We spent most of the time sitting out in my back garden in the sun just relaxing. The last time I saw him was wishing him goodbye at Leeds CIty Station to go home to Burnley. His stay in hospital was only a few hours and that is how he would have wanted it.
Jim posted here as nonjuror2003, a name which reflected his passion for the history of the Anglicanism
I will post details of the funeral when I know them.
If you know of other people who knew him please pass on the news.
Yours truly,
Susan Ewens

Hi Susan,
I am so sorry for having not seen your posts when you made them 2 years ago. You may have noticed that only the odd spammer generally takes much time to post here anymore, sadly I lost touch with many of my friends here over the past decade.
I didn't find out about Jim's passing until a few months after it had occurred, and sadly wasn't up to attending his funeral. It was very kind of you to post about his last eeeks and hours here, and I am glad that you were able to pass such a lovely afternoon with him at your home in his final weeks.
Much love, Michele xx
