I have a friend who is an artist...he is looking for inspiring 'dark' poetry, for imagery that he can paint...if anyone has any links to poetry of this nature, or any poems of their own which they feel may inspire interesting images, please would you either print the links here, or if you wish, print your own poetry here...thanks!

A lesson on love from Blake for your friend Love equates to pain most often - a wise lesson! William Blake (1757-1827) The Clod and the Pebble "Love seeketh not itself to please, Nor for itself hath any care, But for another gives its ease, And builds a Heaven in Hell's despair." So sung a little Clod of Clay Trodden with the cattle's feet, But a Pebble of the brook Warbled out these metres meet: Love seeketh only self to please, To bind another to its delight, Joys in another's loss of ease, And builds a Hell in Heaven's despite."
